Federal MP Andrew Laming is suing Nine News broadcast, arguing that they damaged his reputation when it presented him as a “lecherous” person and a “pervert”.
Dr Laming from the Queensland seat of Bowman is suing the broadcast network for a news bulletin on March 27 of this year.
Nine’s barrister Lyndelle Barnett said the key issues in the defence were Dr Laming’s conduct in relation to taking a photograph and “bullying constituents”.
