Redcliffe is set to host a march against domestic violence this Friday.
The event is part of the ‘Moreton Bay Says NO 2 Violence campaign’, an initiative of Encircle who aims to raise awareness of domestic and family violence in the region.
An Encircle spokesperson says, “violence against women is at epidemic proportions” with one woman dying every week as a result of domestic violence.
Participants of the march will gather at the Rotary Park in Redcliffe at 8:30am on Friday and the march will be followed by a formal event.
