Leading epidemiologists are encouraging Australian’s not to ‘freak out’ if they catch COVID after lockdowns lift.

Infectious Disease physician and microbiologist at Canberra Hospital, Professor Peter Colington, said people should ‘want’ to get the virus if they are vaccinated to better build up immunity.

The Lancet, among one world’s oldest and best known medical journals, published earlier last week that the Pfizer vaccine has seen its protection rates against Delta drop from 93% to 53% after 4 months, with conversations over booster shots taking place among scientists.

Experts are saying that a mix of vaccination and the virus will provide the most protection.
