Petrol prices in NSW have soared as travel restrictions ease, reaching as high as 181 cents per litre in cities such as Sydney.
Spokesperson for NRMA, Peter Khoury says as the world gradually exits the prolonged Covid lockdown and vaccination rates increase, there is more economic activity taking shape globally, driving up demand for oil.
Mr Khoury hopes before Christmas, there will be stability in the supply and demand as well as pricing dropping to respectable levels.
