Some South Australians are being encouraged to change their drivers license number after hackers gained access to South Australia’s digital platform mySA Gov.

The South Australian Department of Infrastructure and Transport says that two-thousand-six-hundred-and-one accounts have been accessed during the cyber attack, two-thousand-and-eight of which containing registration and licensing information.

The department says the accounts were accessed because the owners of the accounts have used similar passwords across multiple unrelated websites.
