The Moree Plains Shire has been declared a restricted border zone area.
This decision made by the Queensland Government comes after three new locally acquired COVID cases were recorded in Queensland yesterday in the Goondiwindi area.
Residents of Moree will no longer have access to the Queensland side of the border unless under exceptional circumstances such as urgent medical care.
