Injured South Australian workers may be entitled to compensation after High Court ruling.
Former truck driver Shane Summerfield was left permanently injured after a workplace injury but ReturntoWorkSA argued it was not obligated to pay compensation taking the legal case to the High Court where it ruled in Mr Summerfield favour.
Mr Summerfield’s lawyer Kathleen Chambers described the ruling as “significant”, with Mr Summerfield saying despite the process being frustrating he was lucky to have a good lawyer who helped achieve this outcome for him.
