Environmental activist Kyle Mage faced court on Friday, November 5th after having been held in custody for three day.

The 36 year old father of two was arrested on Tuesday after causing disruption by locking himself to a conveyor belt.

Mr Mage and Ms Juliet Lamont, a 50 year old mother of two, had done a similar protest at Hay Coal Point which led to both of them being refused bail and remanded in custody.

Frontline Action On Coal spokesperson Andy Paine says “Australia is embarrassing itself on the world stage this week at the 2021 United Nations Climate Change conference (COP26) in Glasgow” and that Australian Prime Minister Scott Morrison is “derailing discussion on climate change”.
