Ms Palaszczuk urged Queenslanders in highly populated tourist spots like the Whitsundays and Cairns to lift their vaccination rates after a tourist travelled to Cairns from Adelaide, prompting urgent contract tracing when confirmed to be infectious in the community.
After a weekend push for more vaccinations only 66.87 percent of Queenslanders have received their second dose below the projected 80%
