Queensland Premier Annastacia Palaszczuk has flagged potential changes to the mask mandate as Queensland edges closer to the 80 per cent single-dose COVID-19 vaccination milestone. 

Currently Residents living in Brisbane, Ipswich, Logan the Gold Coast and the Sunshine Coast regions are currently subject to the mask mandate.

Ms Palaszczuk says Queensland is set to hit 80 per cent of the eligible population aged over 16 years with the first dose of a vaccine by Tuesday. 

Almost 67 per cent of eligible Queenslanders have now had their second dose of a COVID-19 vaccination.
