Influencer Megan Bacon-Evans and her wife Whitney say the NHS fertility sector in England discriminate against LGBT+ families.

Prior to receiving NHS financial help, same-sex female couples and people with wombs must pay for 12 IVF treatments to prove medical infertility, adding up to over £30,000. However, cis-gendered heterosexual couples are only required to try to conceive for 2 years before they receive help.

Megan Bacon-Evans says, “It’s time for discrimination to end and for there to be equal treatment with heterosexual couples in the healthcare system.”
