The Queensland Government is investing $54.8 million dollars to deliver community-based care for those with life-limiting illnesses in regional, rural and remote Queensland.

Health Minister Yvette D’Ath says Queensland Health is seeking submissions from non-government organisations to assist people with life-limiting illnesses to be cared for.

The funding for community-based palliative care services is part of the Queensland Government's $171 million initiative to lead reforms to palliative care.
