Some universities have announced their replacement of in-person lectures for online alternatives.
The University of Tasmania is the most recent institution to join a number of universities, who in response to the COVID-19 crisis, are permanently moving to online lectures.
The national tertiary education union has concerns that this shift will mean that universities recycle old lectures rather than making new content each year.
