The US has condemned Russia for a “dangerous and irresponsible” missile test

The test blew up a dormant Russian satellite creating debris, which the US says endangered those on board the International Space Station. 

Ned Price, a US state department spokesman says, “this test will significantly increase the risk to astronauts and cosmonauts on the International Space Station, as well as to other human spaceflight activities.”
