South East Queensland regional dams have dropped to levels not seen since the millennium drought.
The Wivenhoe Dam has dropped below 40% capacity, a level not seen since the early 2000’s.
State water minister Glenn Butcher says that residents need to drop their average daily water usage by about 30 liters to prevent water restrictions being put in place by December.
