Cotton Australia is implementing trials to see if old cotton textiles could improve the soil on cotton farms.
As a part of this trial, Goondiwindi farmers Sam and Harry Coulton have spread two tonnes of shredded cotton on a paddock on their farm in Southern Queensland.
This is part of a scheme by Cotton Australia to reduce textile waste in Australia.
