Labor frontbencher Penny Wong is set to denounce the Morrison Government’s position on Taiwan as they talk up the prospect of joining a war over the country.
Wong says the Morrison Government is embarking on, “the most dangerous election tactic in Australian history”.
The Australian government and the labor party have both raised concerns over increasing military pressure from China against Taiwan.
Ms Wong says, “amping up a war against a superpower [is a] tactic used by irresponsible politicians” in an attempt to hang on to power.
