Ipswich is set to be home to Australia's largest animal genomics lab.
Neogen Australasia are helping to transform the former University of Queensland suite at Bundamba into an 11 million $ facility which will provide genomic work as well as food diagnostic and biosecurity services for the agriculture sector.
Neogen Australaisa says Ipswich is the perfect place to put the facility with the town having a skilled workforce and strong industry supply chains.
