Two women have highlighted a “culture of silence” and mistreatment of women in the Defence Force.
Elizabeth Broderick says the culture of mateship has meant many stay silent about misdoings by fellow cadets and staff.
Ms Broderick who has conducted 16 cultural reviews into Australia’s largest institutions says unacceptable behaviour that is reported often goes unheard as reporting is inconsistent among the different branches.
