The Lunar Electric festival in Newcastle has been cancelled this year amid concerns of the Omicron COVID-19 variant.
The cancellation of this event comes right after two men have been fined a total of fifteen-thousand dollars for isolation breaches.
The nightclub that the two men attended on the 8th of December has been identified as the location of a super-spreader event, with up to 200 of the attendees that night testing positive for COVID-19.
