In response to the worsening working conditions, nurses and midwives in the NSW Health Sector will be taking to the streets on Thursday 1st September to protest better wages and better working conditions. After weeks of deliberation between the union and government, demands such as pay rise in line with inflation and staff-to-patient ratio requirements were left unmet. 4ZZZ journalist Steph Felesina chats with Charmaine Murphy, secretary of the Lismore Nursing and Midwifery Association about the upcoming strike.
