Sony Pictures presents Ghostbusters: Afterlife directed by Jason Reitman is a fun family flick that delights audiences of all ages. Whether you have watched all the Ghostbusters films or this is the first time you have been introduced to the franchise there is something here for everyone to enjoy.

When Callie, played by Carrie Coon, arrives in a small town with her two kids she expects that her inheritance will resolve her current financial situation and pay off the rent that is owed to her landlord. Much to her surprise she realises she is given a property which has accumulated a ton of debt and isn’t worth a whole lot more than ‘sentimental value’.

While daughter Phoebe, played by Mckenna Grace, discovers ghost tech hidden in the farmhouse, Trevor played by Finn Wolfhard finds a job at a local diner and explores what the town has to offer. Phoebe befriends Podcast, played by Logan Kim, and they start to unravel the legacy left behind by her grandfather Egon Spengler.

Join this fantasy fuelled adventure of a lifetime and reminisce with fellow Ghostbusters fanatics for where it all started. Wolfhard, as seen on popular Netflix series Stranger Things, is a familiar face and enjoyable to watch on the big screen, it is worth noting Grace’s performance as she steals the scene with her role as Phoebe. Paul Rudd breathes comic relief into the film as Grooberson and there is one scene in the film that is a must-see that involves Baby Pufts Mashmallows.

Ghostbusters: Afterlife reminds you of the legacy that has been left behind while teasing an upcoming film in the franchise. There are plenty of crowd pleasing moments that young and old audiences will respond well to and there are quite a few references to the original movies sprinkled in that longtime fans can appreciate.
