Some jerks are a female-led garage/surf rock band from Brisbane, Inspired by the girl groups, and garage rock, of the 60's, and once quoted as “sounding like Sleater-Kinney covering the Shangri-las”.
Formed in late 2010, they released their self titled EP, in 2011(mixed and mastered by Kramer of Bongwater), followed by debut Album “ Buddy Rich made Me Cry”.

2014 saw the release of “Dark and Dead of Night/ Nancy”....a couple of songs about love, and digging graves. It was accompanied by a film clip for Dark and Dead of Night, Directed by Brisbane cult film maker, Andrew Leavold (of Lesbo-A-Go-Go and The Search for Weng Weng fame).

All releases included singles that have received extensive play on community radio, and placed high in the annual 4ZZZ Hot 100. Some jerks are a tight live unit, and have played shows with The New Christs, The Bellrays, The Coathangers, Cosmic Psychos, Ron Peno, Sixfthick, Hits, and many other great bands.

Recently Some jerks have released their second Album “Strange Ways”. It has received great reviews, was voted as the Best album of 2016, by the combined 4zzz announcers, and was included in the top 10 under the radar Australian releases, by The Guardians Kate Hennessy. The 1st single "The Hunter" was a finalist in the QLD Music Awards 2017.

August 2018 and Some jerks released a single called "Star". It's available on vinyl as a split single with Melbournes Powerline Sneakers.

September 2019 and new single time again... " A Million Girls" is an angular pop anthem.
