Over 5,000 Russian protesters arrested and jailed
Following the arrest of Alexey Navalny, tens of thousands of protesters have taken to the streets across Russia to demand the release of the jailed opposition leader.
The protests have seen more than 5, 000 people arrested as of Sunday, in what is the latest in nationwide protests that have rattled the Kremlin.
Authorities in Moscow have introduced unprecedented hardline security measures including closing subway stations, cutting bus traffic and ordering restaurants and stores to stay closed.
Pharmacists to dispecse cannabis oil
Pharmacists can dispense Low dose cannabidiol oil, better known as CBD oil, up to 150mg a day without a prescription on Monday.

Wheelchair Basketball squads vying for finals

The 20-person strong squads are vying for a spot in the final teams ahead of this year’s Tokyo Paralympic Games.

Organisations to receive welfare grants
11 organisations are expected to receive racing animal welfare grants, Racing Minister Grace Grace announced today.
Queensland’s Acting Racing Integrity Commissioner Mark Ainsworth said the projects promoted and supported the Commission’s animal welfare objectives, including maximising the post-racing career of racing horses and greyhounds.
In 2020-2021 $2.3 million is predicted to be spent on the welfare of Queensland racing animals. This includes funding for greyhound adoption programs and resources to enforce animal welfare compliance including an education program.
