betNwa is Brisbane trans elder Bette Benjamin. Bette makes esoteric guitar loops through arcane effects pedals over sampled drums and bass and glitch effects, then rap-sings over them about the joys and sorrows of late transition. She records and mixes in her studio apartment so the vibe is chilled, since she hates the idea that her neighbours are listening. Bette is an independent disability support worker whose clients are all trans or gender-diverse. She's a passionate advocate for trans kids and a presenter on 4ZZZ's Tranzmission.

Curiously enough, Hard Tank are a three piece band from Meanjin/Brisbane. Making music is their business, and despite the on-going challenges in this particular industry, business is so-so.
