Born out of eternal creative frustration and a lack of drive to succeed in anything useful, Council Grounds are set out to create a sound that challenges jaded conventions of alternative rock. The familiar pairing of drums, bass and distorted guitars hold the fort down while passionate melodies hang in the balance, suspended somewhere between pretty indie-pop and post-punk angst. Decorated with lyrics that sting with uninhibited honesty, Council Grounds narrate an experience that feels wayward and uncertain; yet, divinely human in all the chaos.

Over a million mobile phones may be unable to call triple-0 due to the shutdown of Australia's 3G network.

Telstra will switch off its 3G network on June 30 and Optus is expected to switch off its 3G network in September. 

Despite this deadline fast approaching, about 113,000 Telstra customers have not upgraded their handsets.
