A Country Practice
A Country Practice is a family band living on Yuggera and Turrbal Country. Fluctuating from pastoral ambience to skip-hop fused folk and drone-country, the group carve out their own little niche with brittle Casio keyboards, drum machines and nylon string guitars. Their debut album, released in 2021, explores the trio's time growing up in regional Queensland, the importance of urban gardening, and a longing for suburbia.
Roadhouse
Companionship, skilled musicianship and insane energy come together to form active Aussie rock quartet Roadhouse from Brisbane, Queensland, Australia. Four best mates forming in early 2016, they have carved themselves a reputation for a blood pumping live show bolstering a large repertoire of well crafted, catchy modern rock anthems.
June Low
June Low are an indie-rock/pop and dark roots outfit originally from Brisbane. Solo or in band format, and best served with a glass of red, these songs dish up flavours of love, disaster and nostalgia but always leave you feeling full.
Spirit Bunny
SPIRIT BUNNY are an experimental-pop band from Brisbane. Vocals and brittle circuit bent Casio keyboard melodies are nestled between slabs of buzzing Commodore64 synths, gritty beats and pulverising drums. Despite the predominantly 'retro' nature of the instruments - with their Commodore 64s and Casio Sk 5/8 keyboards harking back to the glorious ‘80s - there is nothing retrospective in their sound. Despite the lack of guitars, Spirit Bunny’s chaotic blend of broken sound bears as much in common with noisy-guitar-pop bands as dark-synth-wave groups.
Koko Uzi
Mi Mi Uzi (Batswing Saloon, Fuzzbabes/Gravelrash & Chopper Division), Li Li Uzi, (Fuzzbabes/Gravelrash), & La Na Uzi, (bunch of bands in Melbourne, Kim Salmon (bow down before the one we serve) & Air Jordans), want to do it with you. Bang Bang!
The Holy Rollercoasters
Inspired by the masters of rhythm and blues, the ecstasy and tragedy of love and the beauty and gothicism of the bible. Performed by non-religious soul, blues and jazz-worshipping Brisbanites. It shall be wild and you shall snap your fingers and wiggle your hips. And ye shall be healed.
