The stillbirth foundation of Australia is calling on the federal government to establish a national action plan regarding stillbirths.
Considered a neglected health epidemic, the rate of stillborn children in Australia remain the same since 1998, affecting six families a day.
The foundation’s chief executive, Victoria Bowring says we have seen a similar approach with a national action plan for endometriosis being developed by the federal government, and a similar model could work for stillbirth.

Jessica Says: Downers EP
- There are some comeback stories in the music industry that go beyond the usual popular once for a short while, then vanished, a big revival single or album release that extends the career and finally, live happily ever after (Take That springs to mind).
RP Boo: I'll Tell You What!
- RP Boo is a central figure in the history of footwork. The Chicago producer was there in the ‘90s, producing cuts like Baby Come On, which kicked the whole thing off. Like a lot of musical pioneers, despite being foundational his name isn’t as well known as some more recent contributors like DJ Rashad or the Teklife crew. Boo’s been banging back though, in the last five years actually building up a back catalogue of EPs and LPs that he never actually had, back in the day.
Low Flung: Blow Waves
- Blow Waves is the debut album from Low Flung; the longstanding project of Sydney via Canberra musician Danny Wild. It follows on the heels of a string of varied releases on various labels and formats, with a shifting stylistic focus that has selectively encompassed elements of jazz, ambient music, musique concrete, left-field techno and low-fi house.
Power: Turned On
- Melbourne’s potted history of punk are back for a second go, shoving all that gloriously messy, ballsy and loud heritage on to another record. Well there should be enough for at least two.
