Samuel Geddes, based in Magandjin/Brisbane, and Alistair Seawright, living in Naarm/Melbourne, combined their songwriting talent just earlier in 2025, developing the first demos from shared Google drives and exchanged audio files from their respective cities. Quarter Short
Brisbane-based soloist Quarter Short fuses the brooding alt-pop of Billie Eilish and Taylor Swift’s “Reputation” era with neo-soul to create 90s inspired anthems to carry you home. The driven and nostalgic tracks are delivered by disarmingly honest vocals and tickled with quirks inspired by Regina Spektor, Hayley Williams and Kate Miller-Heidke.
