Queensland Health Minister alleges she was sexually assaulted
Queensland Health Minister Yvette D’Ath alleged she was groped by an international judge at a conference two years ago.
Ms D'Ath said the alleged sexual assault occurred at Parliament House while she was the Queensland Attorney-General.
The allegation followed Premier Annastacia Palaszczuk moving a motion condemning the harassment and assault of women. The motion has cross-party support.

South-East Queensland population set to surge
Research suggests South-East Queensland is set to increase by two million people in the next two decades.
The ShapingSEQ report forecasts the fast-growing Moreton Bay region will need to build another 88,000 homes to accommodate for the population surge.
Residents say high-density infrastructure and developments would strain already overwhelmed infrastructure and could threaten koala habitats and wildlife.
Israeli Prime Minister faces uncertain future
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s future is unclear, as the Israeli election threatens political deadlock.
Exit polls project the 120 seats in parliament will be equally divided between Netanyahu’s likely opponents and supporters.
Unless a coalition is built to break the deadlock, Israel could be headed towards its fifth election in two years.
Northern Territory proposes to refuse bail under youth bail reforms
The Northern Territory Government claims more young people will be refused bail under proposed youth bail reforms.
The proposed changes would see bail automatically be revoked by serious breaches, such as reoffending on bail or a breach of curfew.
Amnesty International Australia described the proposal as a "callous, racist legislative crackdown," because it disproportionately impacts Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander youth.
Employment recovered to pre-COVID levels
The latest national data showed employment has recovered to its pre-COVID level.
According to new Labour Force data from the Australian Bureau of Statistics, employment rose above 13 million people in February.
ABS spokesperson Bjorn Jarvis said the data showed continued recovery in the labour market.
QAGOMA appoints new head of Asian and Pacific art
The Queensland Art Gallery and Gallery of Modern Art appoints a new head of Asian and Pacific Art.
Gallery director Chris Saines announced the appointment of Tarun Nagesh as the department’s new curatorial manager this week.
Mr Nagesh has curated more than 15 Asian art exhibitions at QAGOMA and will deliver the 10th installment of the Asia Pacific Triennial, in December.
Extinction Rebellion stage protest the drilling of 2500 wells in QLD
Extinction Rebellion are staging a protest at Eagle St in Brisbane this morning.
The demonstration, occurring outside coal seam gas company Arrow Energy’s offices, is protesting the company's proposal to drill up to 2500 new wells in Queensland.
Extinction Rebellion spokesperson Lee Coaldrake said Australians need to keep governments accountable and ensure governments invest in renewable energy.
