World Science Festival returns to Brisbane
After being cancelled last year due to COVID-19, the World Science Festival is set to return to Brisbane next month running from 24th to 28th of March.
The Queensland Museum Chief Executive Dr Jim Thomson said there will be something for everyone, with more than 120 events being held across Brisbane locations.
Events are set to be held anywhere from Mount Coot-tha to the Queen Street Mall, Kingston to Carindale, West End to Fortitude Valley, the Queensland Cultural Centre and more, says Queensland Arts Minister Leeanne Enoch.

Al Jazeera journalist freed from Egyptian jail
Mahmoud Hussein, a journalist for Qatar’s Al Jazeera, has been freed after four years in an Egyptian jail.
According to Al Jazeera, Hussein was being held without formal charges nor trial. Detainees can be held in pre-trial for up to two years, in line with Egyptian laws, however authorities regularly prolong the periods.
Himalayan glacier devastates Uttarakhand district
At least 200 people have gone missing after a Himalayan glacier crashed into a river, in northern India.
The glacier caused a torrent that tore through two power plants and swept away roads and bridges.
