Kids Helpline Reports Almost Half of National Counselling Sessions Occupied by Under 25s

Kids Helpline reveals that under 25s occupy 49.7% of national counselling sessions. 

Released on Monday morning, the Kids Helpline 2023 Impact Report shows that more than 1.8 million online users have accessed their resources.

Additionally, they highlight that an average of 75 crisis interventions occur every week. 

yourtown CEO Tracy Adams reaffirms that young people can also empower one another. One way this is done is through the My circle platform where young people can provide peer to peer support. 

Low Intensity Heatwave for Southern Australia

The Bureau of Meteorology reports a low intensity heatwave for Southern Australia. 

These conditions will spread through most of western and southern South Australia. This includes Adelaide, northern and eastern Victoria, southern New South Wales, the Australian Capital Territory, isolated parts of northern Tasmania, and western and far eastern Western Australia. 

The Get Nots

The Get Nots are an original four-piece Sunshine Coast band and have been writing, recording and performing locally for almost 10 years. Drums, guitar, bass and saxophone combine to create The Get Nots sound – a melodic mix of garage-style rock shifting between bright and heavy rhythms, underpinned by driving bass and punctuated with a sometimes lilting, sometimes snarling saxophone.
