Queensland Ranked 5th on Aged Care Report Card

The Retirement Living National Planning Report Card was released today, evaluating the state’s barriers to aged care and efficiency in services, Queensland was ranked 5th.

With over 15 percent of Queensland’s population being aged over 65 according the report, it suggested amendments to Lord Mayor Graham Quirks incentives to attract more aged care facilities to Brisbane.

Overall, the report suggested low scores and a negative sentiment to broad planning.

Queenslanders Will Soon be able to Buy Train Tickets with Smartphones and Watches

Commuters will soon be able to use their smartphone or watch to buy their ticket on public transport.

The present Go Card operator, Cubic, has also announced the delivery of a new contactless system, which will also allow payment with debit or credit cards, in 18 regional areas and south-east Queensland.

Transport Minister, Mark Bailey, says the new ticketing system will be in place for customers to use in the coming years.
