Gold Coast Caravan Park Residents Facing Evictions
Permanent residents at Kirra Beach Caravan Park have been asked to vacate the park to make way for more tourists.
The Gold Coast Council has asked residents to gradually move out and make way for the growing tourist demand.
Although the council’s letter gave residents up to 10 years to leave, some of the residents fear the evictions could begin within months.

Australia Meets Medal Target at Paralympic Games
Australia have won one gold and two bronze medals at the PyeongChang Winter Paralympics reaching their target of three medals with four days of competition remaining.
Simon Patmore won Australia’s first gold since Salt Lake City in 2002 in the snowboard cross becoming the second Australia to win a medal at both the Summer and Winter games following his bronze medal in the 200m T46 sprint at the London 2012 Paralympics.
