Ipswich is set to be home to Australia's largest animal genomics lab.

Neogen Australasia are helping to transform the former University of Queensland suite at Bundamba into an 11 million $ facility which will provide genomic work as well as food diagnostic and biosecurity services  for the agriculture sector.

Renewed flooding remains possible across parts of the Bremer River and Warrill Creek, with the Bureau of Meteorology issuing a flood warnings.

Nations Condemn Afghanistan Regime Following Targeted Killings

Following a Humans Rights Watch report earlier this week which documented more than 100 executions of former Afghanistan government officials, nations have condemned the Taliban regime in a joint statement. 

More than 22 nations demanded that the Taliban uphold its pledge not to harm former government officials, with the regime denying the allegations in a statement to the BBC. 

Call In For Company Applying To Build Landfill In Ipswich

The company who wants to build a new dump at Ipswich as part of a 200 million recycling centre will be called in by State Development Steven Miles as Ipswich City Council rejected the landfill but accepted the recycling centre. 

Wanless Recyclers are now appealing the application in the Planning and Environment Court. 

QLD COVID Update

There are no new local Covid19 cases in Queensland on Sunday but six travellers have been detected in home and hotel quarantine. 

The Therapeutic Goods Administration has approved the Pfizer vaccination for use in Australian children aged 5 to 11.
