Full Flower Moon Band - 'Death or Hell'

If you ask the oracle about Full Flower Moon Band, you will get the story of rock prodigy ‘Babyshakes’ Dillon: The underground producer and multi-instrumentalist with an impressive touring history and catalogue. Audiences have seen them exist between America and Australia, on the road extensively with acclaimed compatriot Gabriella Cohen, and picking up shows in DIY studios across the globe.

Those lucky enough to catch Full Flower Moon Band's live show have described it as; "fierce, eccentric, sensual performance art."
Born out of an unremitting desire to push creative boundaries; Full Flower Moon Band began as a studio project between touring schedules in 2015. More recently finding the time and mind to suitably launch the project into orbit, the latest offering the ‘Death or Hell’ EP.

‘Death or Hell’ was recorded at Dirty Power Studios, Brisbane & Sunset Pig Studios, Collingwood by 'Babyshakes' Dillon, Gabriella Cohen, Chris Wright & Kieran Daly (Sunset Pig Records).

‘Babyshakes’ on ‘Death or Hell’:
"The first thing I ever knew about this collection of songs what that they embodied a story. I've been interested in the hero's journey, and women's archetypes for a while now – and I wanted a project to continue exploring themes from Man and His Symbols (Jung), and the book “Women Who Run With The Wolves”(Estés)."

"Each song’s lyrics is rich with history and meaning for me, and I’ve made sure to write and record each one passionately and truthfully. What I was interested in was using them as a collection to create a soundtrack to a larger, much bolder story using the energy of the EP as a whole, not the literal meaning of each track, to fuel the story. Like Fellini says about cinema – he wants to connect scenes with emotion, not with meaning."
