Council Grounds
Born out of eternal creative frustration and a lack of drive to succeed in anything useful, Council Grounds are set out to create a sound that challenges jaded conventions of alternative rock. The familiar pairing of drums, bass and distorted guitars hold the fort down while passionate melodies hang in the balance, suspended somewhere between pretty indie-pop and post-punk angst. Decorated with lyrics that sting with uninhibited honesty, Council Grounds narrate an experience that feels wayward and uncertain; yet, divinely human in all the chaos.

A Boeing 737 has turned around after its engine cowling fell off and struck its wing flap during take off.
The US Federal Aviation Administration will be investigating the incident on the Southwest Airlines Boeing 737-800.
No one was injured.
