Cameron Bower: Iceberg

- Cameron Bower has been around for a minute in music. He’s done time in rock bands like Milk Buttons, Cowbird and -perhaps his best known- Big Dead. All of those outfits have fused together sounds from the arty, serious end of the spectrum: from prog-rock through to jazz and often making a significant amount of noise in the process.
Tune-Yards: sketchy

- If Merrill Garbus’ last record went into a hi-fi dancefloor place, then the new long player, sketchy, comes out swinging with a return to the lo-fi grittiness that marked so much of her first breakthrough outing Whokill back in 2011.

Queensland ends 3-day lockdown at 12pm today
Queensland's snap 3-day lockdown will be lifted from 12pm today, Thursday April 1.
The decision follows just 1 new case of community transmission being recorded in Queensland overnight.
Queensland Premier Annastacia Palaszczuk said high testing rates, low case numbers, and the fact that community transmission has been linked to existing cases has allowed authorities to lift lockdown before the Easter long weekend.
Mandatory mask wearing in indoor public spaces is required until April 15.
We Set Sail: Ritual And Ceremony

- Patience is a virtue with We Set Sail. You’ll be rewarded for said patience in spades. Five years beyond Feel Nothing and the chasm inside me which sad-bastard-music occupies has mercifully been filled. Filled with a lush abundance of layered guitars, relatable lyrical content, and insightful movie samples. Interestingly, it's the last of those three that gives us a hint of what to expect from a narrative perspective; the brief snippets reinforce what the band are putting across.
