Queensland tenets fear being evicted amid COVID-19 funding cuts

Tenets in Queensland affected by the coronavirus are facing fears of eviction as the residential eviction moratorium lifts and cuts to both job seeker and job keeper’s coronavirus supplement collide this week.

In an open letter health services, community organisations and unions have proposed an extension to the moratorium citing fears of increased evictions and homelessness in the wake of these changes.
