Free Childcare to end on June 28: PM

Prime Minister Scott Morrison has warned parents he plans to scrap “free childcare” on June 28, calling the scheme “unsustainable”.

The current free childcare pandemic pledge was designed in the early stages of COVID-19,

While the Prime Minister recently said that “no final decision” has been made, he stressed that parents should not expect the arrangements to remain in place indefinitely.

Queensland Border Closed to September: Premier

Queensland Premier Annastacia Palaszczuk says that state borders may remain closed till September to reduce the risk of reinfection occurring due to interstate travel.

This comes as infection rates slow across the country with sporadic flare-ups in Victoria and New South Wales

Palaszczuk is optimistic about opening the borders to the rest of Australia but warns caution and that things can change rapidly in these conditions.

COVID-19 Restrictions Ease

Since the restrictions being recently lifted in Queensland allowing more travel, more activities, and larger gatherings Queensland currently has two new cases of the coronavirus.

Further restrictions are planned to be lifted in June and July, however everyone needs to continue playing their part to protect themselves and the more vulnerable in the community.

A total of 1,037 Queenslanders (98 per cent of total cases) have now recovered from COVID-19.

Enderie: 3

- Nothing if not prolific, nothing if not always changing it up, nothing if not following his own beat, repurposing the musical sounds of the world into part of his slightly intimidating collage of noise: this is Enderie. He's probably best known for his work as Cured Pink (or part of it), which can be vaguely, messily circumscribed with the description dub-noise-rock (??). What must run a close second in notoriety, are his very regular forays into the world of dance music.

Moby: All Visible Objects

- If you’re looking to impress the cool taste-making audience of community radio fans, reviewing a new Moby album in the year 2020 may not seem like the best career move. “Not the best career move” seemingly being Moby’s personal mission statement of the last couple of years.

Dianas - 'Baby Baby'

Five years since the release of their debut full length album, Dianas' record Baby Baby is a culmination of the band's intricate history and their interlacing musical connection. Nat, Caity and Anetta ran away to a haunted farmhouse at the end of Winter 2018 to write, and this collection of 12 songs is the result.

The album is darkly atmospheric, mathy, uninhibited, bewitching and truly like nothing else happening in Australian music right now. A bit Kate Bush, a bit Bjork, a bit Sonic Youth, 'Baby Baby' features complex guitar parts duelling over pulsing drums and lyrics exploring womanhood, self perception and relationships with a gothic twist.
