A man from Perth will be the first to wear an electronic ankle monitor after breaching coronavirus (COVID-19) self-isolation rules.

 

This has sparked a debate on whether or not this should be mandatory for all offenders of the self-isolation laws.

The first flight from Israel to the United Arabic Emirates has landed following the country's peace deal.

 

The plane, carrying U.S. and Israeli delegations, crossed Saudi Arabian airspace which until now, was blocked to Israeli air traffic.

 

 The word "peace" was scribed on the plane in English, Hebrew, and Arabic -  a historical turning point for Israel and the Arab world.

Hurricane Laura leaves many displaced and without power or water

 

14 lives lost and over 400,000 people are still without power and water following Hurricane Laura in the United States.

 

 

The category-four hurricane which began on August 20th caused mass destruction across the southwest, notably Texas and Louisiana.

 

While national guard troops were deployed to assist, the extensive damage will take a considerable amount of time until a sense of normality is restored.
