Israel Folau contract with Wallabies to be terminated
Wallabies star Israel Folau is set to have his contract terminated after sharing a post on his instagram that promoted homophobic and hateful ideas.
Rugby Australia and New South Wales Rugby Union, who govern Australia’s super rugby teams, stated "He does not speak for the game with his recent social media posts,”.
Folau, who previously played for the Brisbane Broncos in the NRL, has 73 caps for Australia and was expected to play in this years Rugby World Cup.
Assange to receive no special treatment
Australian Prime Minister Scott Morrison has reacted to news of Julian Assange’s arrest by saying Assange will receive no special treatment or help from Australia.
Morrison said the matter of Assange’s arrest ‘has nothing to do with us [Australia], and it is a matter for the US’ as a result of the multiple judicial matters.
The Prime Minister said Assange will face the judicial system of the countries where he is wanted, just as other Australians would.
UQ camp for children with Cerebral Palsy
A two-week camp run by the University of Queensland at the Queensland Children's Hospital is helping kids with cerebral palsy boost their life skills.
The two-week trial aims to get children moving and performing tasks – without a therapist providing physical assistance – to improve their independence and promote changes in the brain.
Call for sexual violence prevention in Queensland communities
The Palaszczuk Government is calling on Rockhampton to have their say on how best to prevent sexual violence in their community.
Di Farmer said by having their say, Queenslanders can help to develop a Sexual Violence Prevention Framework in the state.
Farmer said ‘we need to start having a conversation about this, and victims and survivors need to know there is a support group out there.’
Autism charity face funding crisis while State, NDIS, wipe responsiblity

A Brisbane autism charity is set to close unless it can get ongoing funds from the Queensland State Government.
Autism Behavioral Intervention Queensland Manager, Sharon Horan, said she has asked for assistance from both the State Government and the National Disability Insurance Scheme but both organisations advise she is ineligible for funding.

Israeli spacecraft crashes on moon
An Israeli spacecraft, the Beresheet, has crashed on the surface of the moon after an apparent engine failure.
The Beresheet was the first ever privately funded mission to the Moon, with the aim to take photos and conduct experiments.
Israel hoped to be the fourth country to land on the moon, with only the US, Russia, and China having had successful moon landings.
Australia criticised by Chinese coal official
Chinese coal industry official Cui Pijiang, director of the China Coking Industry Association has criticised Australia for 'biting the hand that feeds it' at a coal conference in Beijing.
In his forum address, Cui stated, "Although businesses can conduct effective, friendly and reasonable cooperation between the two countries, the political factors have to be considered," calling political comments made about China “Unfriendly” and “Irresponsible.”

An international wheelchair event in Darwin has been forced to move from a new $16m tennis complex because the show court has been built on a slope.
The Darwin International Tennis Centre is set to stage the Arafura Games later this month, but wheelchair competitors have been relegated to one of its 14 outside courts.
