Kcin & Tilman Robinson: Requiem For The Holocene

- They say that you enjoy the music that matches your mood. Presumably that means, for the last couple of years, the collective ears of the world have been listening to some pretty messed up stuff. I know that one of my favourite records of 2021 was Kcin’s Decade Zero.

King Gizzard And The Lizard Wizard: Omnium Gatherum

- So, King Gizzard & the Lizard Wizard. Here we find ourselves. Twenty albums deep after just over a decade. What is there to say about King Gizz that hasn’t already been said? Very little to be perfectly honest with you. This album can be seen as a compilation album –of sorts– with tracks that weren’t destined to grace other records of their past. This however doesn’t mean that every single track on this record is not entirely deserving of its place here.

Siala: Drowned Surface
- It can be quite refreshing to hear a contestant on The Voice say what they’re actually thinking. In a recent interview with Acclaim, 2020 season contender Siala was hit with the not-exactly-heavyweight question ‘if you were a landscape, what would it be?’, to which she responded: “It would be in the desert, with like crows and cow heads. That’s what I picture. It’s so ****ing weird but like blood falling from the sky and I’m just walking through it, and I’m not phased.
