Tame Impala w/ Genesis Owusu & Sycco @ Brisbane Entertainment Centre

- In this new world of connection within music culture, we are able to see behind the curated curtain quite easily, at least for most bands. Instagram and other platforms offering a chance for snapshots of artists days and photos over the years of their career tracking the level of success often in line with the crowd numbers and production quality of their live shows.

TFS, Party Dozen and Delivery @ The Triffid

- There is very little that hasn’t been said about TFS, with the four piece starting on high credibility from albums with The Drones, High Tension and Mod Con and continuing to solidify their journey with an even wackier version of what most would box into a genre of alternative rock. With TFS spawning from one high of success from each member individually to find even greater heights as an ensemble, they are one of few heritage bands in the noisy music genres of Australia.

Beabadoobee @The Tivoli

Beabadoobee (Beatrice Kristi-Laus), has been coined a Gen Z icon, and I didn’t fully realise this until walking into The Tivoli on Sunday for her long -awaited Brisbane appearance. This was the most packed out show I’ve been to at this venue since pre-pandemic times, and on closer look it seemed that most of the crowd was a good ten years younger than me. Now, I’m not sure if it’s a gen z thing, or a characteristic of Beabadoobee fans, but this audience took this show extremely seriously. They get there hours and hours before the doors open.

ChAMBER LANe

Charismatic Rock n Roll fresh from South East Queensland, ChAMBER LANe have been taking the music scene at full force with their energetic Pop Rock sound packed full of flavour.

Great tunes, ecstatic live performances and tracksuit pants… It goes without saying that these Eternal Misfits are truly a package deal.
