Australian activists have recently been released from Israeli detention following the interception of the Global Sumud Flotilla. 4ZZZ speaks to David Heilpern, former New South Wales magistrate and spokesperson for the Australian delegation.

Volunteer Highlight | Shane Doidge, our Reception Coordinator

This month, we’re highlighting our amazing reception coordinator, Shane Doidge as volunteer of the month!


Shane has been a part of the Zed family since the 70s and 80s! In the past two years, he started coming into the station to volunteer: packing and posting in Radiothon, then helping with Hot 100 voting and now is our reception coordinator!


Shane dedicated so much time to make sure our reception doors stay open 6 days a week, our 4ZZZ subscriptions and merch orders are processed and brings so much warm inner glow to our hallways.

In breaking news QPS have enforced a 3 hour evacuation notice to personnel involved in the Goori Camp Embassy at Barrambin Victoria Park. A large police and fire presence has been reported to be on site complete with UAV drones as they survey the area.
