Brisbane Open House: 4ZZZ Radio

After being evicted from the University of Queensland by the conservative student union in 1988, our search for a new home led us in the direction of 264 Barry Parade in Fortitude Valley, then owned by the Brisbane chapter of the Communist Party of Australia (CPA).

264 Barry Parade was built in 1936 for Brisbane resident Clarence Beckingham, who operated his business Brisbane Spare Parts Co from the premises when he wasn’t busy organising socialist activities around town.

Get loud for a cause. T.I.T. Together in Transition is a high‑energy fundraiser bringing community, noise, and solidarity together under one roof.

On 23 July, head to The Cave Inn from 6pm for a stacked lineup featuring The Snouts, Soft Cnts, and Emmy Hour three trans and gender diverse bands delivering raw, unapologetic sound raising money for our most vulnerable members of the community.

This event is raising funds for Project 491, supporting trans kids to access vital gender affirming care.

Femme Fatale 1st Birthday Show

Hosted by Olive & Aysha, Femme Fatale which broadcasts Mondays from 1-3PM has become one of our must listen to indie, pop and alternative rock shows! The program is now turning one!

To celebrate, they’re throwing a massive female-fronted birthday party in The Triffid Garden on Friday 3 July from 6:30PM. This is a free and all ages event.

In just a year, the show has built a strong local following and featured interviews with artists including Momma, Way Dynamic, GUM, Genesis Owusu, The Jungle Giants, The Horrors, and Phantastic Ferniture, among many others.
