Gabriel Bishop

Gabriel Bishop is the solo project of Brisbane-based producer Harry Wells. With
four years honing his craft as an independent producer, Harry decided to put his skills
to good use and make his mark on the world stage as Gabriel Bishop. Combining his
love of early 2000s hip-hop & RnB with his roots as a folk singer-songwriter, Gabriel
creates music that is lyrically focused, musically complex, and irresistibly catchy. He
uses his wide range of influences to make a sound that is diverse yet unmistakably his
own.

Regurgitator UNITS @ Eaton’s Hill Hotel

- Meanjin-Brisbane rock legends Regurgitator’s second and possibly best studio album Unit blew up the airwaves upon release way back when in 1997. Hit singles Black Bugs, Polyester Girl and ! (The Song Formerly Known As) soaked up the sun in the mainstream and all the others sneaking onto Triple J and community radio stations across the country.

Billy Bragg @ The Tivoli

- On a Thursday eve I wondered and wandered into the Tivoli to see the second of three gigs in a row from “The Bard of Barking”. First night was first three albums, second night (this gig) was albums four, five and six and third night was a potpourri.

This trilogy of gigs had been listed a number of times but COVID BS and other factors caused a number of reschedules. This time we didn’t let William Bloke off the hook!
