Education on consent to be included in Queensland schools
More explicit and age appropriate education on consent and reporting sexual assaults will be delivered in Queensland schools following a state government review of its respectful relationships program.
Education Minister Grace Grace ordered the review in March this year after Queensland student’s claims of sexual assault and rape were amoung thousand of anonymous testimonies published on a petition for better sex education.

The Catalina A24-50, also known as the flying boat, took off from Cairns on September 2, 1943 and disappeared that night along with 10 men.
The crash site had no human remains but several artefacts, including dog tags, were uncovered.

Object spotted across Queensland night sky
An object streaked across Queensland’s night sky on Sunday, with several eyewitness reports and multiple videos capturing the spectacle.
While the nature of the object is still unconfirmed, the event fell right in the middle of the annual delta aquariid meteor shower, with the perseids meteor shower also due to cross the night sky next month.

Gold Coast woman breached isolation conditions
A woman undergoing hotel quarantine on the Gold Coast breached her isolation conditions after receiving cigarettes via a flying drone.
A man is believed to have operated the drone from outside the Crowne Plaza at Broadbeach last Sunday. The sneaky exchange was spotted by a hotel staff member who notified police, and interviewed the quarantining women.
