Prime Minister Turnbull said he will fire any minister in breach of his new ban on sexual relationships with staff.
When queried on whether Barnaby Joyce currently commands majority support in the Nationals Party room, the Prime Minister said he is unsure where the politician stands with his colleagues.
The query follows the release of a recent poll that showed that the majority of Australians believe Joyce should resign his leadership of the National party.
Brisbane teens arrested following carjacking
5 teenagers were charged following an alleged armed carjacking in Brisbane’s south.
Four of the five teens charged allegedly brandished a hammer and knife when they approached a man in Sunnybank and forced him to hand over the keys to his Mercedes.
The incident sparked a lengthy police chase however all five teens were captured, including one who drove a separate getaway car, and were charged with three counts of armed robbery and two counts of unlawful use of a motor vehicle.
Brisbane fuel prices expected to rise
Brisbane fuel prices are expected to rise almost 20 cents in the coming days.
The average price of petrol at service stations was predicted to rise to almost $1.50 per litre, if the current round of price hikes continues.
Renee Smith, an RACQ spokeswoman has said that 25% of Brisbane service stations have put their prices up as the city begins to approach the expensive phase of the petrol price cycle.

Avalanche in Sweden injures two
Two people were injured after being hit by an avalanche in Switzerland, according to local police.
The injured skiers are in hospital recovering, and are not seriously hurt.
The risk level in the Swiss Alps is presently at 3 on a scale of 5, and police have warned several other avalanches have been triggered in the southern region.
Israeli Prime Minister threatens Iran
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu threatened to act against Iran if needed due to his concerns that the country’s capital city of Tehran poses a significant threat to the world.
Netanyahu stood before the Munich Security Conference earlier this month holding an alleged piece of an Iranian drone that had moved into Israel’s airspace when he announced that Israel will not allow the regime to put a noose of terror around the country’s neck
Factory fire exposes cannabis plantation in Melbourne
Hundreds of cannabis plants were found by firefighters after a factory fire in Melbourne’s south-east overnight.
Emergency services were called to the factory in Springvale at around 11:30pm on Sunday, where firefighters found a hydroponic set-up growing hundreds of cannabis plants.
No one was in the factory at the time of the fire, and it was believed the blaze was caused by an electrical fault.
Australian universities alleged to have inadequate measures to foster student understanding of sexual assault and consent
Survivor advocacy groups have alleged that Australia’s universities are lagging behind when it comes to fostering student’s understanding of sexual assault and consent.
The claim arises from a recent survey that found many residential colleges at universities had implemented online consent and sexual assault prevention training within the last year, but only around a third of those programs involved a sexual assault support service.
Track closures to affect all lines near Brisbane CBD
Track closures for the upcoming weekend are expected to affect all lines near Brisbane’s CBD, and those travelling are warned to prepare for severe delays.
TransLink stated the closures will be from the first train Saturday, until the last Sunday service.
Rail buses are expected to replace the affected services, and passengers are advised to allow for up to an hour for extra travelling.
