President Sparks Political Crisis in Tunisia
On the 25th of July, Tunisia’s populist president Qais Saied dismissed the country’s prime minister and suspended parliament following widespread protests against the government’s poor response to the COVID-19 pandemic. Many in the West have been quick to brand the move a coup, casting doubt on the future of the Arab Spring’s one democratic success story. Tom spoke to Dr William Lawrence, non-resident scholar at the Middle East Institute and former United States diplomat in Tunisia, about the evolving political situation in the country.

Microsoft’s Edge Hosted Potentially Illegal Copies of Games
The extensions store on Microsoft’s Edge was found to be hosting copies of games such as Pac-Man, Tetris, Super Mario Bros, and even Minecraft. However, the developers listed with the titles weren’t the original developers, such as Microsoft or Nintendo, making it likely that these listings were not official copies of the games.
Petition for Winton dino to become state fossil emblem
Queensland Dinosaur fans are petitioning the government to make the Diamantinasaurus the official state fossil emblem.
The Diamantinasaurus, nicknamed Matilda was uncovered in Winton, the epicentre for dinosaur fossils, and is on a shortlist under consideration.
